Oh, how the year zooms on by..! We have spent the year exploring our respective spin-off adventures, exploring longform, going to festivals, with some in our group getting hitched out in the hills outside Wrexham to name a few cute gatherings.
Speaking of longform improv, though—we are happy to double bill our Fruit Smoothie show with its riot of fruity, punchy short snappy games with the very talented Made-up Imps, who will showcase just how powerful a story that’s made up on the spot can be, when a group weaves its chapters in together like a hive mind. It’s practically magic, to look at it.

What else could a little fruity troupe plucked from all corners of the northwest and surrounding areas do but make a fruit smoothie?
The Oickers will be making another 2024 appearance to do what they do best —- be unashamed fans of short form improv! The puns will roll out before you can say fructose, the fun will be spilled, and the snappy stories of silly snippets ripe for the telling! Keep an ear out (maybe cover as needed?) for a musical number or two, even.

Ever wonder how you will be remembered after you die?
Made Up imps stages a fully improvised funeral wake based on the obituary provided by a member of the audience. Set in a pub, friends and family gather to share memories over a drink and a buttie. A celebration of life and those that loved you, Awake presents how others remember us after our death and provides us a reminder of our own mortality.
This is a show where we shine a light on life, how we live it and who remembers what.
